Luther Fernando Garcia Jr., 58, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at his home in Liberal.
He was born July 1, 1955, the son of Luther Garcia Sr. and Esther Olivas, in Liberal.
He attended Liberal schools.
He was a Handyman for more than 30  years.
He enjoyed drawing, his nephews and nieces and playing pool.
He is survived by one daughter, Alta Valles, Leavenworth; three brothers, Anthony Garcia and wife, Veronica, Liberal, Emilio Olivas, Jr., Liberal, Robert Olivas and wife, Dunia, Phoenix, Ariz.; five sisters, Genevieve Rodriquez and husband, Fransisco, Liberal, Adela Vargas and husband, Raul, Casa Grande, Ariz., Lucia Applebee and husband, Michael, Liberal, Deborah Garcia Castillo, Liberal, and Teresa Banuelos and husband, Rogelio, Derby; step-father, Emilio Olivas, Sr., Liberal; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
• He was preceded in death by one brother, Abraham B. Garcia; and mother, Esther Olivas.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Mortuary.
Rosary service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Liberal.
Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Fr. James P Dieker presiding.
Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
