TURPIN, Okla. – Felix Louis Huebner, 79, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at home in rural Texas County, Okla.
He was born Jan. 13, 1933, to Earnest and Gussie (Wald) Huebner in Turpin, Okla.
He graduated from Turpin High School, then attended Panhandle State University, in Goodwell, Okla., and Central State University in Edmond, Okla.
He was a farmer.
He served in the U.S. Army May, 1956 – March 1958.
He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Forgan and Liberal Senior Citizens Centers, and, in 1961, the Sports-Car Club of Southwest Kansas.
He enjoyed square dancing, gardening, travel and family.
Survivors include three daughters, Sandy Howard, Vernal, Utah, Karen Huebner and husband, DeWayne Tibbetts, Tyrone, and Michelle Huebner, Tulsa, Okla.; one brother, Joe Huebner, Amarillo, Texas; five grandchildren, Jonathan Huebner, Rachel (Howard) McMullin, Sydnee Tibbetts, Derick Tibbetts and Quinten Tibbetts; and four great-grandchildren, Jace Collette, Khyson Huebner, Rhyker Oakden and Rhyan Oakden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles Huebner
o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Liberal, with the Rev. Andrew Wehling presiding.
Burial will be at Liberal Cemetery, with military honors by American Legion Post No. 80.
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today at Brenneman Funeral Home.
