BOONE, Iowa – Nancy M. McBride, 55, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born on Jan. 5, 1954, to Merle and Wilma (Sellers) Miller in Liberal.

She married William McBride Sept. 14, 1981, at Guymon, Okla. He survivves.

She graduated from Hardesty (Okla.) High School and attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Okla.

She was currently the office manager for Dan’s Custom Landscaping in Ames, Iowa, a position she had for the past 11 years.

She was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Boone, Iowa.

Other survivors include her mother; one son, Shawn McBride, Boone; one daughter, Amber Vale and husband, Jason; two brothers, Lloyd Miller and wife, Charlene, Hardesty, and Ronnie Miller and wife, Shannon, Hooker, Okla.; one sister, Beverly Trimmel and husband, John, Liberal; four grandchildren, Alaina McBride and Abby, Jackson and Sophie Vale, all of Boone; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; her mother-in-law, Danna McBride; and one brother-in-law, Dennis McBride.

o Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday  at the Grace Episcopal Church in Boone with Father Tom Gehlsen presiding.

Burial will be at the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Stark-Welin Chapel with the family present during that time to greet friends. Visitations with a closed casket will continue at 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to be determined at a later date.
