GLORIA J. BROWN
Gloria Jean Brown, 50, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal. She was born Dec. 6, 1958, to James Sr. and Essie V. (Morgan) Whiterspoon in Little Rock, Ark. She graduated from Liberal High School in 1976. She attended Friends University and Seward County Community College. She was a past member of the Risen Glory Church and was attending All Nations Church. She is survived by her parents; six brothers, Benard Witherspoon and wife, Frankie, Arlington, Texas, James Witherspoon Jr., Arlington, Bobby Witherspoon, Liberal, George Edward Witherspoon, Liberal, Ollie Reddick, LasVegas, and Keith Brown, Indianapolis; three sisters, Dixie Curry and husband, Kenneth Sr., Arlington, Mary Washington and husband, Ulysses, Liberal, and LaTonya Witherspoon, Liberal; and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George Baker and Mary Mingo. o Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bibleway Church of God in Christ with Pastor Jimmy Holman presiding. Burial will be at Liberal Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday.
