LENA Y. MANSELL Lena Y. Mansell, 89, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital in Auburn, Calif. She was born May 11, 1920, to Louise F. and Jennie Seighers Labatteat Fairlawn, Saskatchewan, Canada. She married Kenneth C. Mansell Oct. 18, 1950, in Rapid City, S.D. He died Aug. 29, 1990. She graduated from high school in Fairlawn. She was a waitress at the Holiday Inn now the Liberal Inn for 47 years. She retired in January 2004. She was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Lady Elks of Liberal. She is survived by two sons, G. A. “Jerry” Mansell and wife, Betty, Plains, and Clayton Mansell and wife, Rhonda, Liberal; two daughters, Jeannette McMahon and husband, John, Meadow Vista, Calif., and Theresa Carey, Overland Park; one brother, Herbert Labatte, Wayburn, Sackatchewan, Canada; two sisters, Theresa Wittal and husband, Eddie, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and Erma Labatte, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and three sisters. o Graveside and burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
