The Tyrone Lady Bobcats kicked it into high gear at both ends of the floor, and picked up a 58-23 win over the Keyes Lady Pirates.

The Lady Bobcats wasted little time, and jumped out to a 20-4 lead in the first quarter, and increased it to 31-10 by halftime.

“We got off to a really good start, and had some pretty good runs throughout,” Lady Bobcat coach Hope Cox said. “We manned up and put a lot of pressure on them at both ends of the floor.”

Tyrone put the finishing touches on the blowout win in the third quarter, increasing their lead to over 40, leading 55-13.

“We did a great job of blocking out and getting the ball quickly to an outlet, and then making layups in transition,” Cox said. “It was nice to get everybody a chance to play in a varsity game.”

Nine Lady Bobcats in total scored with Tori Dumler leading the way with 15. Breanne DeLeon scored 11, Trista Jaramillo 8, and Shelby Davis and Rayna Wall each added 7.

Tyrone is now 4-9, and will face tournament host Texhoma at 6:30 p.m., Thursday.
