Seward moved to 8-2 in the Jayhawk West and remained two games behind Barton County after knocking off Cloud County Saturday at The Green House.
The No. 20 Lady Saints fought off several Cloud rallies to earn the win.
The Saints had a 14-6 lead in Game 1 but Cloud scored eight points in a row to take a 15-14 lead. Seward picked up the pace and earned a 25-18 win.
Seward maintained a lead most of Game 2 in a 25-20 win and used strong blocks at the net for the win.
Cloud took a 23-19 lead in Game 3, and the Lady T-Birds had two opportunities to earn the game point. But the Lady Saints continued to rally, including a huge block from Aislyn Karney, and Seward finally put the match away 32-30.
Seward has a busy week and will need to keep the winning streak alive to have a chance at catching Barton.
Seward ravels to Pratt today to face the Lady Beavers and will be in Garden City Wednesday. The Lady Saints will step out of conference play to compete in the Missouri State-West Plains tournament Friday and Saturday.
