The Liberal Lady Redskins traveled to Kingman Thursday and after a loss to Chaparral earned two victories.
The Lady Redskins fell to Caparall in two sets, 25-17, 25-17.
Kaitlyn Ralston had three aces, Katie Garcia contributed seven assists, and Makiah Adams had four digs.
“The team started the night slow and we did not play the level of volleyball we are capable of playing,” Liberal coach Thais Baziquetto said.
The Lady Redskins improved against Belle Plain with a 25-23, 25-23 win.
Jai Chapman had 11 kills and only one error on 26 attempts as well as six digs. Adams had nine kills and three errors on 33 attempts. Garcia had 22 assists, and Cynthia Cisneros had seven digs.
“We came back on the second game against Belle Plaine and played much better as a team,” Baziquetto said. “We were able to get good passes and distribute the ball within our offense which made us a successful team on that match. We had the same mind set for the last match of the night against Kingman.
The Lady Redskins defeated Kingman 25-17, 25-19.
“Our passing was not as good but we stepped up on our defense and serving to finish the night with a win.”
Chapman had eight kills, Garcia had 12 assists, Andrea Mulanax pitched in six digs, and Marisol Regaldo had three blocks.
