DENICE D. PHOENIX
SUBLETTE – Denice D. Phoenix, 52, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Satanta District Hospital.
She was born Dec. 1, 1956, to Bill C. and Ruth A. (Messerly) Phoenix in Satanta.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Sublette, treasurer for Sublette Recreation and past bell choir director at the church.
She enjoyed art, music, caring for animals and remodeling homes. She was an Oklahoma and Chief ballgame fan.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Diehl, Sublette; her mother; two sons, Michael Crossman, Lawrence, and Shaun Ruddle, Norman, Okla.; one stepdaughter, Denise Diehl, Wichita; three brothers, Robert Phoenix, Wichita, Shannon Phoenix, Austin, Texas, and Patrick Phoenix and wife, Valerie, Sublette; one sister, Tonya Thayer and husband, Shawn, Olathe; three step grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and other friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Todd Phoenix.
o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sublette High School gym with the Rev. Harry Fink presiding.
Burial will be at the Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Haskell County Funeral Home.
