Adam Christopher Salley, 17, of 923 N. Lincoln in Liberal, was arrested Saturday, May 25, on an alleged charge of rape.
Seward County District Attorney Don Scott said although Salley is a 17-year-old, Salley will be facing the alleged rape charge as an adult.
“He had a first appearance on May 25, he was certified as an adult,” Scott said. “He pleaded not guilty and was set for trial June 21 and 22.”
No further details of the alleged crime or the victim were released.
Undersheriff Gene Austin said Salley is currently in custody at the Seward County Jail. He believes Salley’s bond has been set at $50,000.
