A Sublette woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday morning in Haskell County.

Around 9:30 a.m., the Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 GMC Envoy, driven by 36-year-old Margaretha Dyck of Sublette, was northbound on Haskell County Road QQ.

At the same time, a second vehicle, a 2003 Chevy passenger car, driven by Julia Ann Sniff, 50, also of Sublette, was eastbound on U.S. Highway 56, when the GMC failed to yield to the Chevy and struck it in the driver’s side.

Dyck was uninjured in the accident, but Sniff was taken to Satanta District Hospital with injuries.

The KHP report indicated Dyck was not wearing a seat belt, but Sniff’s vehicle was equipped with seat belts, and they were in use.
