An accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when an eastbound 1989 Ford failed to yield the right of way to a southbound 2006 Dodge at Walnut and Kansas. The driver of the Ford was a 70-year-old male, according to Lt. Jon Antrim of the Liberal Police Department, and the Dodge was driven by a 21-year-old male. Antrim said both drivers were wearing seat belts, but both were taken to Southwest Medical Center with minor injuries. L&T photos/Robert Pierce
