Obadiah Barnett and Dylan Berg combined for a key victory over a talented Cardinal team Monday at Rosel Field.

The A-game was moved to the early game due to rain and to prevent a cancellation should the moisture continue.

But no more rain fell on a cool night at the ball park.

The Royals rebounded from a loss to the A’s last week to earn an 11-5 win.

The Royals took a one-run lead in the bottom of the first, but the Cardinals jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the top of the third.

But the Royals found their stride and scored four runs in the bottom of the third to retake the lead 5-1.

The Royals added three more in the fourth, and the Cardinals cut into the lead in the top of the fifth to make the score 8-5.

The Royals added three more in the fifth, and the Cardinals could not respond in the sixth. Barnett earned the win and Berg got the save.
