An injury accident involving two vehicles occurred just as the noon hour began Tuesday at the intersection of Kansas Avenue and Sixth Street. Liberal Police Department Capt. Pat McClurg said although one individual was transported to Southwest Medical Center, the extent of injuries was not clear. “We had a silver 2002 Dodge Ram pickup that was turning south on Kansas from East Sixth and struck an eastbound 2001 Ford Focus that  was gray in color, driven by a 28-year-old male and he was heading east across Kansas on Sixth,” Capt. McClurg said. “We had one transported to SWMC, the driver of the car.” L&T photos/Jessica Crawford
