LIBERAL — The Liberal JV baseball team scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh to edge the Turpin, Okla. varsity, 14-13 on Thursday night at the Liberal Athletic Complex.
Winning pitcher Jonathon Arellano doubled home Michael Begley for the win. Begley was in a position to score the winning run after singles by Brent Lenear and Junior Acosta had extended the inning. Begley walked ahead of a single by Louis Vasquez which set the stage for Arellano’s game winning hit. 
Acosta went 3-for-5 with two runs scored, Jonathon Arellano, 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs.
Catcher Daniel Frazier also had a pair of hits and two runs scored.
Turpin falls to 6-7 while Liberal improves to 4-4.
