Beaver 66, Texhoma 40

The 8th-ranked Lady Dusters used a big third quarter to win big 66-40 over the Texhoma Lady Red Devils and put an end to their nine-game win streak. Beaver continued its own streak of 19 consecutive wins.

In the first half Texhoma was able stay with Beaver as the first period ended with the two teams knotted at 14. Beaver was able to gain an advantage in the second outscoring Texhoma 18-10 to take a

32-24 halftime lead.

The Lady Dusters showed why they’ve won 18 in a row in the third quarter by running away from the Lady Red Devils 22-6 to take a commanding 54-30 lead into the fourth quarter.

Beaver increased their lead by two more to win 66-40.

SaRaya Oyler led the Lady Dusters with 17, Erin Becker scored 12, and Kamee Gable and Anna McDonald each added 11.

For Texhoma, Shasta Sheets led the way with 15, and Lyndi Berry and Amy Elliott each added 8. Beaver is now 19-1 and will play their final regular season game next Friday at home in the Duster Dome against Laverne. Texhoma fell to 14-6, and will host the Rolla Pirates next Tuesday.

The Lady Dusters also won the JV game 38-22.

Red Devils defeat Beaver, 59-49

The No. 17 Texhoma Red Devils held home court Friday night defeating the Beaver Dusters 59-49.

Beaver took an early 12-9 in the first quarter, but Texhoma bounced back in the second quarter by outscoring Beaver 16-6 to take a 25-18 lead to the locker room.

Texhoma had their best offensive period of the night in the third outscoring the Dusters 21-13 to extend their lead to 46-31 heading into the fourth. Beaver outscored the Red Devils 18-13 in the fourth, but it was not enough as Texhoma won 59-49.

J.D. Pugh led Texhoma with 21, while Trey Freeman added 12, and Matt Freeman scored 9.

Beaver was led in scoring by Samuel Becker with 12 and Cole Trippett added 9. Texhoma is now 17-3 and will host Rolla Tuesday.

Beaver fell to 10-9 and will host Laverne next Friday.

In the JV matchup Beaver defeated Texhoma 38-34.
