The Liberal High School Drama Department will be performing “A Piece of My Heart,” by Shirley Lauro under the directon of Lauren Peck. “It tells a story of six women and their experience in Vietnam,” Peck said. “It is a beautiful, beautiful story – I fell in love with it a few years ago.” Due to the dramatic nature of the story, Peck said, parents should be hesitant about bringing children under the age of 13. The production will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the James Maskus Auditorium. Tickets are $6 for adults, $4 for students and seniors. All LHS faculty and staff, $3. All veterans and current military personnel will be admitted free. Daily Leader photo/Jessica Crawford
