DENNIS G. LUNCEFORD
HUGOTON – Dennis George Lunceford, &3, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at his home in Hugoton.
He was born July 24, 1935, to Hershcel and Geraldine (Malloy) Lunceford in Omaha, Neb.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was a truck driver for Yellow Freight for 30 years.
He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion in Nebraska.
Survivors include three sons, Douglas H. Lunceford, Hugoton, Craig A. Lunceford, Austin, Texas, and Brian K. Lunceford and wife, Michelle, Lee Summit, Mo.; one grandson, Ty Lunceford; one granddaughter, Oliva Lunceford; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Kelly J. Lunceford, and one brother, Gene Ellerman.
o Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton with Father Pascal Klein presiding.
Military graveside services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Neb.
There will be no visitation at Paul’s Funeral Home.
