ROY H. AMEN
 
Turpin, Okla. – Roy H. Amen, 103, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal.
 
He was born Aug. 14, 1905, to Henry and Eva A. Reel Amen in  Beaver County, Okla.
 
He married Lena M. Morris March 5, 1925, in Liberal. She died Oct. 14, 1999.
 
He attended school at Greenough School.  
 
He was a farmer, breeding horses, and a cattleman.
 
He was a member of the Bethel Church of God in Forgan, Okla., served on the Union School Board, Tri-County Electric Board and telephone board and a charter member of the Liberal Riding Club.
 
He is survived by one daughter, Lois Harrison and husband, Lewis, Tyrone, Okla.; one brother, Darrel Amen and wife, Neva Jane, Pratt; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.  
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three sisters and one grandson, Roger Harrison. 
 
o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Chapel.
 
Burial will be at the Liberal Cemetery.
 
Friends may call until 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Miller Mortuary.
