Helen Brasca, 85, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.
She was born Aug. 26, 1923, to Michael and Anna Kissel Zukywich in Brooklyn, N.Y.  
She married Frank Brasca Aug. 31, 1947, in Queens, N.Y. He died Nov. 14, 2006.
She attended Richmond Hill High School in Queens.
She worked as a temporary typist in many companies and for nine years as a typist for Blue Cross of New York.
Survivors include one son, William Brasca and wife, Lorraine, Wichita; one daughter, Anna Vartian and husband, Dave, Liberal; six grandchildren, Gene Menachio, Corrie Trujillo, Jonathan Vartian, William Brasca Jr., Leah Brasca and Joshua Brasca; two great-grandchildren, Mariah Trujillo and Zabrianna Menachio
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, George Zukywich.
o Graveside service was at 1:30 p.m. today at Restlawn Cemetery with Doug Williams presiding.
