JOHNSON – Kenneth Douglas Taylor, 52, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at United Memorial Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 8, 1958, to David Randolph Taylor Sr. and Edna Lucille Creason Taylor in Jonesboro, Ark.
He married Karen Dyrbala Taylor July 3, 1992. She survives.
He graduated from Johnson High School in 1976.
He worked for Coop in Johnson before entering the U.S. Air Force, serving 14 years as a munitions systems technician and achieving the rank of staff sergeant. Since 2001, he worked at Genesee Community College.
He enjoyed watching high school football games and traveling to watch air shows and tractor pulls.
Other survivors include one son, Kyle Douglas Taylor; one brother, David Randolph Taylor Jr. and wife, Michelle, Johnson; two sisters, Shirley Harrell, Russellville, Ark., and Betty Lauppe and John Eckhardt, Richland, Texas; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Frank Drybala, Alexander, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Mary Hotchkill, Castile, N.Y.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Sharon and Dennis Brown, Attica, N.Y.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Beverly Dyrbala, Alexander, N.Y.and many nieces, nephews and great- nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Floyd Wayne Taylor and wife, Barbara; and brothers-in-law, Bill Lauppe and James Hamm.
o Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson with the Rev. Ken Armstrong presiding.
Burial will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson with military tites conducted by VFW Post No.3684.
Visitation took place Wednesday, Sept. 29, in Batavia, N.Y., with a service with full military honors at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30.
