The preamble to the Constitution begins with WE THE PEOPLE PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 20 September 2010 12:16

Marlena Nobles reads the Constitution to a group of more than 80 who attended the Constitutional Reading Saturday at Coronado Museum. We the People hosted the patriotic event. Organizer Jim Rice was pleased with the crowd. “I was very happy with the turnout. There was a good crowd, well attended,” he said. “What I really thought was neat was watching those people follow along in those books that were handed out. Nearly everyone was following along. I didn’t know for sure if I had time to order enough in. It takes quite a while, but these came in in about a week. Those were courtesy of Donna Nix. It was fun to give those out. Excited to see those kids there. That was important.” For more photos, see PAGE 4. Daily Leader photo/Earl Watt
