ELKHART – Coral Bucher, 87, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.
She was born March 14, 1921, to Bob and Gertie (Helfrich) Chambers on the family farm north of Rolla.
She married Earl Edelman May 20, 1939, in Hugoton. He preceded her in death.
She then married Ed Bucher Feb. 15, 1985, in Las Cruses, N.M. He survives.
She attended Rolla Schools and graduated from Rolla High School in 1939.
She loved playing the drums and piano. She even traveled to Washington D.C. with the Morton County Lions Band to play for President John F. Kennedy’s inauguration. She also enjoyed painting, collecting dolls and gardening.
Other survivors include two sons, Richard Edelman and wife, Julie, Benson, Ariz., and Tom Edelman, Rock Way Beach, Mo.; one stepson, John Bucher and family, Minneapolis; one stepdaughter, Janet Nelson and family, Las Vegas; two sisters, Hope Anderson and Mary Frances Light, both of Rolla; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Earl Robert Edelman; one daughter, Kathy Edelman; and two great-grandchildren.
o Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Rolla with Pastor Sandy Ferguson presiding.
Burial will follow at the Rolla Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to service time Monday at the United Methodist Church in Rolla.
