A three-vehicle accident in the 100 block of South Kansas sent one man to the hospital on Monday afternoon. According to Liberal Police Capt. Patrick McClurg, a call came into dispatch at 2:23 p.m. reporting an accident involving a 1985 Chevy Suburban driven by a 17-year-old male, a Chevy driven by a 35-year-old male and a Ford Ranger. “All were driving southbound in the 100 block of South Kansas when the Suburban failed to signal his intentions to turn left onto Rock Island Road,” McClurg said. “The other two vehicles tried to slow down. The Ford Ranger ran into the Chevy truck and the Chevy truck ran into the Suburban.” The driver of the Chevy truck was transported to Southwest Medical Center as a result of back and neck pain.
