In a game of two halves, the South Apaches and West Warriors battled to the wire at Apache Fieldhouse, but it was a late free throw that sealed the win for the Warriors.

South fell behind 12-1 when West’s Britton Abbott received his third foul and was forced to the bench. West’s Maurici0 Neal also earned three fouls and was forced to sit.

South rallied for a 22-14 halftime lead with West’s two leading scorers on the bench.

But the Warriors responded with Abbott and Neal back in the line-up.

West trimmed the lead to 31-26 after three, and the Warrior rally seemed complete when Abbott hit one of two free throws with less than 20 seconds to give West a 37-34 lead.

But South cranked up a 40-foot shot that went in to tie the game.

Trenton Hammond was fouled with less than a second to play, and he hit one of two free throws for the Warrior win, 38-37.
