After a week of high winds, Thursday’s slight breeze was welcomed by the golfers at Liberal’s home tournament.

Liberal won the event with a team score of 312. Guymon took second with a 321, and Meade finished third at 372.

Slader McVey led all golfers with a 71, one under par. He had a strong front nine and was three under at the midway point.

Conner Warren took fourth with a 76, Alex Colvin finished fifth with a 77 and Lucas Poulton placed 10th with an 88.

The team win was also the first for third-year golf head coach Kody Thexton.
