ULYSSES – Larry James Tremmel, 70, died March 20, 2010, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.
He was born November 11,1939, to Lawrence Tremmel and Clara (Bruns) Tremmelin Sigourney, Iowa.
He married Judy Ann Clark July 13, 1963, in Kirksville, Mo. She survives.
He drove truck for Ivan Dickey and Latham Water Service. He later started L & J Trucking and hauled grain, pipe and livestock for many years. He then worked for Dant Clayton Corporation building stadium seats and retired in 1999.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his many practical jokes.
Other survivors include two sons, Bradley Tremmel and wife, Janet, Ulysses, and Scott Tremmel and wife, Deanne, Garden City; one daughter; Lisa Miles and husband, Don, Ulysses; two brothers, Floyd Tremmel, Marysville, Wash., and Jerry Tremmel, Searsboro, Iowa; one sister, Patty Clark, Oskaloosa, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Natasha, James, Destiny, Janea, Ashton, Katlin, Krista, Kendra and Brandon; three great-grandchildren; Audriana, Aleecia and Euphrasia; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Harold, Bill, Jim, Bob and Dick, and one sister; Delores.
o Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Ulysses with Pastor Jon Ail presiding.
Cremation will follow.
Friends may call 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses.
