LIBERAL – Edna M Correll, 87, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at her home in Liberal.

She was born Feb. 17, 1927 to Ray and Edna (Barnes) Casady in Turpin, Okla.

She married Hudene C. Correll on Nov. 18, 1943 in Liberal. He preceded her in death on November 18, 1989.

She was a class of 1945 graduate of Turpin High School in Turpin, Okla.

She worked at Selfridges Florists in Liberal for 13 years before retiring in 1971.

She enjoyed crafting and caregiving.

She was a Past Grand Matriarch of the Grand LEA, Past President of the LAPM, leader for the Theta Rho Girl's Club, and a member of the Rebekahs.

She was the 2013 recipient of the Meritorious Award through the Grand LEA for her community service work and her work in the lodge.

She was also a member of the Central Christian Church of Liberal and the Circle.

Survivors include three sons: Norvan Correll and wife Barbara, Liberal, Michael E. Correll, Ardmore, Okla., and Chuck Correll and wife Carol, Spearville; daughter, Marsha Johnson and husband Mickey, Macksville; three brothers: Cecil Casady, Pensacola, Fla., Jesse Casady, Tyler, Texas, and Roscoe Casady, Liberal; sisters, Vida Noland, Topeka, and Bessie Colvin, Tucson, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Merry Wedel; two brothers, Homer Casady and Harold Casady; and sister, Julia Jordan.

• Memorial services will be Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Central Christian Church with Pastor Chuck Scroggs presiding.

Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials are suggested to the Liberal Hospice in care of Miller Mortuary.
