The second hole in one of the year has been hit at Willow Tree Golf Course.
Gary Allen used a six iron on Hole 17 and the ball sailed the 155 yards and landed in the hole.
“It’s not the most common hole in one,” Willow Tree manager and club pro Chris Ewalt said. “No. 5 has the most holes in one. The reason it is difficult, the green is long an narrow. It has a lot of movement in it, very slopey.”
Hole No. 17 is part of the original back nine.
Allen is a regular at Willow Tree, and this was his first hole in one.
Willow Tree is open from 8 a.m. to dusk daily, and membership is available but not required. The course offers 18 holes along with practice greens, a driving range and more. Call 626-0175 for more information.
