WASHINGTON – Congressman Tim Huelskamp (KS-01) met Monday with Chris Ford, City of Liberal Finance Director; C.J. Wettestein, Seward County Commissioner; Jack Taylor, Executive Director of Southwest Passage Initiative for Regional and Interstate Transportation; Joe Denoyer, Liberal City Commission; Rozelle Webb, Executive Director Liberal Chamber of Commerce; Darrell Webb; and Melanie Patterson, President-Elect, Liberal Chamber of Commerce, to discuss a variety of issues important to the First District.
Among the topics discussed included rural housing, Community Based Outreach Clinic and transportation.
“As a Western Kansas native, it is always great to have input from home to bring a little Kansas common sense to Washington,” Huelskamp said. “There’s some really great news in Western Kansas, particularly economic growth, but it could be so much better with regulatory common sense.”
