Julia L. Callahan, 57, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010m at her residence in Liberal.

She was born Feb. 12, 1953, to Fred and Glendal (Grant) Randle in Ulysses.

She married Robert Callahan March 28, 1999, in Las Vegas. He survives.

She graduated from Ulysses High School in 1971 and then attended Fort Hays State College.

She was employed as the office manager for KSLS Radio in Liberal.

She was a member of the Liberal Country Club Ladies Golf Assoc., Dollar Diva’s Investment Group, Wednesday Night Girls Out Group, Baker Arts Association and a past member of the Beta Sigma Phi in Hugoton.

Other survivors include her parents; one son, Jonathan Martin,  Johnson; one stepson, Brad Callahan and wife, Laura, Ottawa; one daughter, Jennifer Seals and husband, Ryan, Maize; one stepdaughter, Misti Callahan and husband, Ray Schulte, Omaha, Neb.; two brothers, Harold Randle and wife, Kaye, Hot Springs, Ark., and Duane Randle, Hugoton; three sisters,  Linda Binney and husband, Cary, Ulysses,  Nancy Liebman and husband, Richard, Columbia, Mo., and Joyce Ward, Olathe; and four grandchildren, Lydia Callahan, Shea Seals, Quincy Callahan and Skylar Seals.

o Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Liberal with Cary Binney presiding.

Private family burial will be at the Grant County Cemetery in Ulysses.

Friends may call 1 to 5 p.m. today and 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday with the family present to greet friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to Southwest Medical Center (for special recognition of the Outreach Clinic) in care of Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home, 1212 W. Second, Liberal, KS  67901.
