The Lady Dusters ran into a buzz saw Thursday evening losing to Laverne 63-37 in the first round of the regional tournament in Laverne.

The start of the game was fast paced as the Lady Tigers jumped out to a 23-15 lead.

Erin Becker did her best at the offensive end to keep Beaver in the game with 16 first-half points.

Despite Becker's effort, Laverne increased their lead to 14 and led 40-26 at the half.

Any hopes of a Lady Dusters comeback were dashed in the third, as Laverne held Beaver to only three points and led 52-29 heading into the final period.

Laverne outscored Beaver 11-8 in the fourth to win 63-37.

Beaver will get another chance today in an elimination game versus Okeene at 6:30 in Seiling.
