A slow first half led to a 36-17 loss for the Lady Apache eighth graders against Horace Good Monday.

South had a chance to keep the game close in the first half but only made one of nine free throws.The Lady Hawks were abel to take a 19-1 halftime lead.

South scored the first four points of the second half to trim the lead to 19-5.

Horace Good rallied late in the quarter to take a 26-7 lead at the end of the third.

South’s best offensive quarter came in the fourth when they matched Horace good with each team scroing 10 for the 36-17 final.

Cynthia Amaro led South with six points, Audris Lujan had four, and Evelyn Rios also scored four. Jordan Anguiano scored two, and Patty Alfaro hit a free throw.

In the B-team game, South lost 40-6.
