JOHNSON – Charlene Garrison, 78, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 at her home in rural Stanton County.
She was born June 3, 1935, to Emery and Jewell (Davidson) Windmill in Larned.
She married James R. (Jim) Garrison May 31, 1953 in Johnson. She survives.
She graduated from Johnson High School in 1953 and attended Garden City Community College.
She worked at the Extension office in Johnson and retired after 23 years as a cook from USD 452.
She was a Stanton County Trojan Booster. She played Bridge, was on a bowling league and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Johnson.
Other survivors include four sons, Gill Garrison and wife, Desiree, Pensacola, Fla., Rusty Garrison and wife, Mitzi, Otis, Colo., Greg Garrison and wife, Denise, Johnson, and Marty Garrison, Johnson; two sisters, Janet Pearson, Ulysses, and Emeryl Morris and husband, Ark, Johnson; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
• Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson, with Pastor Richard Fitzgerald presiding.
Burial will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson.
