FOWLER – Kathleen E. Boyd, 93, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Meade District Hospital.
She was born June 19, 1920, to George J. and Essie M. (Denny) Tacha in Jennings. 
She married Elvin Leo Boyd May 18, 1941, in Cimarron. He died Nov. 22, 2004.
She attended the Oberlin school system, graduating from Oberlin High School.
She worked in retail sales in Fowler.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She was a member of Rebekah Lodge, holding several offices, including past noble grand; and the American Legion Auxiliary. 
She enjoyed crocheting, playing golf and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Boyd and wife, Sylvia, Lee’s Summit, Mo., Danny Boyd and wife, Carolyn, Olathe, and Rick Boyd, Huntsville, Texas; four sisters, Dottie Gillen, Meade, Peggy Thompson, Meade, Marjorie Bruce, Dallas, and Betty Kortz, Las Animas, Colo.; four grandchildren, Kelli Turner (Russ), Michael Boyd (Natalie), Nicholas Boyd and Nathan Boyd; three great-grandchildren, Tyler Turner, Trey Turner and Samantha Jacobs; and one great-great-grandchild, Thomas Tyler Hughes.
She was also preceded in death by her four brothers, Richard Tacha, Darrel Tacha, George J. Tacha, Jr., and Kenneth M. “Bub” Tacha; and one sister, Gertrude “Gertie” Hunter.
• Funeral services were at 10 a.m. today at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary Chapel, Meade. 
Burial will follow at the Fowler Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Meade District Hospital in care of the funeral home.
