The Lady Redskins tennis team finally won the close matches that have eluded them early in the season in a make up tournament, Monday in Ulysses.

Stephanie Sanchez and Tierra Stoney both went 2-1 in singles play, good enough for second place finishes.

In doubles action, the team of Jordyn Apsley and Marina Arenivas finished 1-2, while Kylie Evans and Marissa Rodriguez went 2-1, taking in second place.

Ulysses took team honors with 20 points, followed by Liberal with 17 points. Colby ended up with 12 points, and Scott City had 11.

The Lady Redskins will be in Dodge City on Thursday for the Dodge City Invite.
