Gary Cline, 77, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal.
He was born Jan. 25, 1936, in Woody Community, Texas, to Andrew Ray and Willie Mae McGowen Cline.
He married Zilla Huntington Feb. 21, 1959, in Hale Center, Texas. She survives.
He attended Lamesa Schools after he served in the U.S. Navy. He pulled four tours of duty in Vietnam. After 20 years of service, he retired with an honorable discharge. He also worked for several years for National Beef Carriers.
He is also survived by one son, Bret and wife, JoAnne, Westville, Okla.; three daughters, Vicky Putman and husband, Ronny, Farnsworth, Texas, Julie Cline, Pampa, Texas, Tammy Cline, Greenville, Texas; one brother, Clive Cline and his wife, Ann, Amarillo, Texas. one sister, Billie Cline Jacinto, Fremont, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Max.
• Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker, Okla.
