The Liberal Laces 8-and-under team won the Great Bend tournament over the weekend. They defeated Beloit 4-3 and lost to the Wichita Mustangs 6-3 in pool play. In bracket play, the Laces defeated the Blaze 15-5 and then avenged an earlier loss against the Mustangs,  10-5. The Laces are, from left,  coach Mike Aichele, Dee Farrar,  Jenna Ormiston, Riley Hallman, Madalyn McCarter, Lizzy Cisneros, Arianna Hubbard,  Allie Ware, Hallie West, Lexi Hensley, Lelani Torres, Kortni Kapp, Emma Aichele and coach Dustin Ormiston.
