VERA M. KINNAMON
MONTEZUMA – Vera May Kinnamon, 76, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at Satanta District Hospital.
She was born May 12, 1932, to Clarence Wesley and Opal Maurine (Boyd) McDonald in Great Bend.
She married Robert “Bob” Kinnamon June 14, 1951, in Montezuma. He died Dec. 22, 1988.
She worked for the Montezuma State Bank for 29 years, including several of those years as vice president.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Montezuma.
Survivors include three sons, Kevin Kinnamon and wife, Marsha, Copeland, Kent Kinnamomn, Parsons, and Kraig Kinnamon and wife, Melody, Shawnee; two sisters, Doris Maurine Friesen, Montezuma, and Nadine Tuxhorn, Dodge City; five grandchildren, Kelly, Taylor, Hannah, Kellen and Kelsey Kinnamon; four great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Dale and Glen McDonald and an infant brother; and two sisters, Eva Darlene McDonald and Dora Tuxhorn.
o Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Montezuma with the Rev. Jerry Odle presiding.
Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Montezuma.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Montezuma Funeral Home.
