HUGOTON – Lorena Avent Hatch, 91, died Saturday, June 1, 2013,  at Pioneer Manor.

She was born on April 15, 1922, to Benjamin Ward Avent and Viola Duncan Avent in Eden, Texas.

She married Leroy Hatch in 1938 in Hagerman, N.M. He preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Church of Christ in Hugoton.

She enjoyed her family, friends, helping others, arrowhead hunting and working in her yard with her flowers.

She is survived by one daughter, Betty (Topliss) Goode, Hugoton; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons; one daughter; one brother; four sisters; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

• Funeral services will be  at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ in Hugoton.

Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Pinon, N.M.
