Obituary

Bernice Ann Wilson, 80, died Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Southwest Medical Center.

She was born on Aug. 22, 1932, to George and Irma (Auernheimer) Vogts in Canton.

She was a graduate of Canton High School.

In 1979, she was employed at Gibson’s in Liberal from which she retired when the store closed.

She was an avid baker of cookies, enjoyed by her family and many Gibson’s employees.

She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Rowson and husband Bill, Salina, Debra Burdick, Aberdeen, S.D., and Karen Ralston and husband, John, Liberal; one brother, William Vogts, Canton; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

• Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Liberal, with  the Rev. Dave Randall presiding.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday  at the Canton Township Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Southwest Miracles or Relay for Life in care of Miller Mortuary.
