The Western Kansas American Red Cross Sixth Annual Golf tournament at Willow Tree Golf Course had 13 teams participate.  Golfers enjoyed a day of golf, great food cooked by James Morton with NOV Wilson Company and lots of great prizes.

The winning team was the “Little Team” from Plains consisting of Durk Dunn, Dane Little, Kelsey Little and Tanner Little. Hole prize winners were Shawn Huffman, closest to pin and longest drive, and Rick Lanning, longest putt.

“Thank You to all the players that came out and supported the Red Cross, Western Kansas Chapter of the American Red Cross director Sherry Helmke said. “As well as all the sponsors. Without them we would not be able to have the Tournament.”

The proceeds from the Golf tournament  will help the Red Cross respond to disasters, teach lifesaving skills like CPR, water safety, family care-giving programs and First Aid to name a few.

The Western Kansas Chapter of the American Red Cross services 33 Counties in Western Kansas.

“We continually make a difference in the lives of people at home and away,” Helme said. “We provide valuable trainings and brochures in our community.  We are available to give presentation to groups or our brochures are available to help you prevent, prepare and respond to life threating emergencies.  If you would like to help us with our many services, please consider volunteering or making a donation. The American Red Cross depends on donor and no Government funding.
