In Loving Memory

FORT WORTH, Texas – James Elvin Bruce passed away on Saturday, March 23rd. A graveside service will be held at the Restlawn Cemetery near Liberal at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 28th. James was born on December 2nd, 1929, in Liberal, KS, to Euty Farice Bruce Sr. and Iris Geraldine Bowers Bruce. James completed 12 grades in the Tyrone, OK schools, graduating in 1949. He worked for Independent Hardware of Liberal, KS and Continental Carbon of Sunray, TX. James was a life-long member of the Church of Christ and knocked many doors in search of souls who would listen to the gospel. James was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Barbara Snyder; beloved wife of 24 years, Lois Brown; and brothers, Glendel and Euty Farice Bruce Jr.

James is survived by his wife, Sammie; brother, Jon and his wife, Sharon; sisters, Gwendolyn Webb and husband, Kermit, and Sharon Dent and husband, Richard; sisters-in-law, Genie and Monna Rae Bruce; sons, Royce and wife, Lina, Bryan, Doyle and wife, Sarah, and Myron and wife, Vicki, and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
