Obituary

AMARILLO, Texas – Willis D. Stubby, 74, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at his home in Amarillo.
He was born Dec. 23, 1935,  to  Victor and Irene Krieger Stubby in Gypsum.
He married Helen M. Milleson Dec. 12, 1964, in Abilene. She survives.
He graduated Gypsum High School in 1958 and attended SE Nebraska Trade School in mechanics. 
He was a lifelong mechanic, working for the Ford Dealership in Gypsum, the Case & International Tractor dealership in Salina. He was employed as mechanic for Keating Tractor for 20 years. He retired in 1995. He also worked for the Hitch ranch several years.
He is also survived by one son, Bert Stubby and wife, Kimberly, Liberal; one daughter, Susan Stubby and companion, Cece Kern,  Amarillo; one brother, Bob Stubby and wife Marge, Grand Island, Neb.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Allen Stubby.
o Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Miller Chapel with the Rev. Rex Petty presiding.
Burial will be at the Liberal Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at Miller Mortuary.
