Liberal High School has announced its 2013 Winter Homecoming royalty, where a King and Queen will be crowned Friday evening at the homecoming basketball game at the Big House.
The 2013 royalty is as follows:
Senior King Candidate Tony Rodriguez is the son of Hector and Alicia Rodriguez. At Liberal High School, Tony plays baseball for the Redskins. He enjoys hanging out and playing sports with friends. In the future, Tony plans on attending college and hopes to be knighted by Chuck Norris. A fun fact about Tony is that he can dance better than most girls.
Senior Queen Candidate Lindsay Simmons is the daughter of Frank and Richelle Simmons. She participates in the Principal’s Advisory Council, Future Business Leaders of America, Youth Entrepreneurship, and is a co-captain of the Varsity Cheer squad. In her free time, she likes to hang out with her friends, go shopping and watch football. She plans on attending Kansas State University and trying out for their cheer squad. A fun fact about Lindsay is that she likes to make weird food combinations. 
Senior King Candidate William Ross is the son of William Ross and Kerri Huskey. At Liberal High School, William plays on the varsity basketball and football teams. In his free time, William likes to play video games, play sports, and bake. In the future, William plans on attending Emporia State and then move to California. A fun fact about William is that he got his tooth knocked out and then put back in.
Senior Queen Candidate Makiah Adams is the daughter of Keith and Jill Adams. She has participated in Varsity Volleyball, National Honor Society, FCCLA, Key Club, “That” Liberal Band, Standout, and is a Prom Committee Chairman. In her free time, she enjoys curling up and reading Karen Kingsbury books, attending youth group at the Church of Christ in Hooker, Okla., and spending time with her family and friends. She plans on attending Seward County Community College and then continue her education at Missouri State University in order to obtain a degree in psychology to become a counselor. Makiah hopes to own a pet monkey and name it Curious George. 
Senior King Candidate Misael Moncayo is the son of Alfredo and Bernoica Moncayo. At Liberal High School, Misael has played soccer. In his free time, Misael enjoys making people laugh, baking, improving his soccer skils and impersonating Justin Timberlake. He plans on going to college, becoming a psychologist and also becoming a professional soccer player. Misael likes anything to do with penguins and has the ability to talk to squirrels. 
Senior Queen Candidate Maria Lara is the daughter of Carlos and Marisela Lara. At Liberal High School, she is involved in FCCLA, NHS and Yearbook. Her hobbies include reading, taking pictures, eating and listening to Christian music. In the future, Maria plans on attending Hallmark University of Photography and obtaining my professional sports photography degree and be on the sidelines of national football, basketball and soccer games. Something unusual; she dislikes bananas and cats. 
Junior Attendant Brandyn Terrazas is the son of Jose and Ruby Terrazas. Brandyn has played basketball, baseball, and was a member of FBLA. In his free time, he enjoys taking long walks down on the shore of Meade Lake, playing Black Ops and playing baseball. In the future, Brandyn plans on attending Kansas State University and then run his own business. 
Junior Attendant Kimberly Francis is the daughter of Shannon and Carol Francis. She is involved in cross country, track, Key Club, and NHS. Her hobbies include running with her team, singing in the car, reading, and shopping.  In the future, she plans to get a master in social work. Something unusual about her is she loves to run!
Sophomore Attendant Hayden Coker is the son of Rusty and Leslie Coker. Hayden has participated in track and basketball at Liberal High School. In his free time, he likes to play basketball and hang out with his friends. In the future, Hayden plans on going to college and playing basketball and then wants to become a lawyer. Something unusual about Hayden is that he is the youngest, but tallest person in his family. 
Sophomore Attendant Beatriz Rodriguez is the daughter of Lorenzo and Martha Roriguez. She has been involved in cheerleading, “That” Liberal Band, and FCCLA. In his free time, she likes to cheer, laugh, run, eat, and sleep. In the future, Beatriz plans on graduating from Liberal High School, attend college, and then become a massage therapist. A fun fact about Beatriz is that she likes to eat a lot.
Freshman Attendant Timothy Fitzgerald is the son of Jacob and Jennifer Fitzgerald. He has participated in soccer, basketball, baseball, and FBLA. He enjoys playing sports and hanging out with friends in his free time. In the future, Timothy plans on going to college. Something unusual about Timothy is that he does not like to watch TV.
Freshman Attendant Jasmine Chacon is the daughter of Sergio and Margarita Chacon. She has participated in FCCLA, cheerleading, AVID, soccer.  She enjoys drawing, eating, playing soccer, doing her nails. In the future, Jasmine would like to become an artist/professional soccer player and be happy. Something unusual about Jasmine is she doesn’t like to watch TV and she doesn’t close her eyes in the shower. She finds it really scary.
