PLAINS – MaryAnn Elizabeth Burdick, 83, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 in Edmond, Okla.
She was born Nov. 10, 1929, to Conrad C. Nordin and Elizabeth Nordin.
She married Don Burdick Dec. 14, 1952. He survives.
She graduated from Bethany College in Lindsborg.
She taught second grade for 14 years in Dighton and Plains.
She served at the Ashland Christian Service Camp, Ashland, where she would cook, clean, and take care of the grounds. She was a member on the First Christian Church in Plains, for more than 50 years and she loved playing the piano in church
She was a member of the Eastern Star for many years. She sold MaryKay Cosmetics for 30 years.
She enjoyed watching pro and college football and also watching her grandkids play sports!
She is also survived by son, Roger Burdick and wife, Peggy, Dodge City; daughters, Donna Bell husband, Hank, Edmond, Connie Hill, Lamar, Colo., and Tami Burdick, Wichita; seven grandkids, Brett Bell and wife, Kristy, Wichita, Brady Bell, Denver, Nikole Mackey and husband, Eric, Oklahoma City, Noel Burdick, New York City, Auston Bell and Erin, Edmond, Clifton Burdick Dodge City, and Chandler Hill, Lamar; and three great-grandkids, Ryan and Noah Mackey and Braxton Bell.
o Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Plains.
Burial will follow at the Plains Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade.
Memorials are suggested to the Plains Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
