Tonya M. Hodges, 39, way Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born March 27, 1973, to Ray and Dyann (McKain) Jackson in Liberal.

She married Barry Hodges April 10, 1999. He survives.

She was a 1992 graduate of Liberal High School and then she attended and graduated from Fort Hays State University with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. She then earned her master’s degree of Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas.

She worked as the director of physical therapy at the Ottawa County Health Center in Minneapolis.

Other survivors include her parents; two daughters, Hanna and Halli Hodges; siblings, Kristy (Jim) Olson, Tyrone, Okla., and Monica (Mark) Girdner, Ankeny, Iowa; and many other family and friends.

o Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at the First Presbyterian Church, Minneapolis.

There will  be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Tonya Hodges Memorial Fund which will be used as an education fund for Hanna and Halli.
