Beaver 55, Sharon-Mutual 27

The Beaver Dusters took care of their first round opponent, Sharon-Mutual with ease. Beaver jumped out to a 14-5 lead in the first quarter, and led by over 20 at the break (32-11).

“We were able to beat them down the floor and shoot a lot of lay-ups and easy shots,” Duster coach Garrett Bebermeyer said.

By the end of the third Beaver led 41-14.

Kalen Gabel went 8 of 12 and scored 21 for the Dusters. Logan Baldwin was 7 of 11 from the field for 17.

Beaver will have to make some adjustments at point guard. Senior Kaleb McDonald suffered a broken elbow Monday during practice.

“We used this game to try some different people at that position,” Bebermeyer said.

Beaver will face Mooreland tonight at 6:45 with a chance to advance to the tournament final.
