Alvin L. Hittle, 83, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Trinity Manor in Dodge City.

He was born Aug. 31, 1929, to William H. and Eva Palmer Hittle in Barber County.

He married Gloria Hall Oct. 12, 1954, in Clayton, N.M. She died July 7, 2009.

He worked agriculture and was a master carpenter.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by two sons, Larry D. Hittle and wife, Nancy, Liberal, and Gary L. Hittle and wife, Vicki, Liberal; one daughter, Rhonda S. Imel and husband, Garan, Liberal; one brother, Walter Hittle, Hugoton; one sister, Laurine Jarboe, Topeka; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Fred Hittle and Charles Hittle; and two sisters, Dorothy Emerson and Geraldine Flory.

o Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Miller Chapel with Pastor Chuck Scroggs presiding.

Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Liberal.

Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Manor in care of the mortuary.
