Wilbur S. Harvey, 75, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Liberal Good Samaritan Center.
He was born Oct. 13, 1937, to Thomas Vivien and Abbey Elnora Rawlings Harvey in Seward County.
He married June Ruth Keller June 23, 1947, in Garden City. She survives.
He graduated from Kismet High School in 1955. He was a member of the High School Little Eight League title winners in 1952 and 1953. He attended and played collegiate football at Emporia State Teachers’ College.
He worked at Schlumberberger, Jayhawk Pipeline and Harvey & Son Electric of Liberal.
Other survivors include one son, Joseph “Joe” Harvey, Liberal; two daughters, Dianne Lynn Harvey, Liberal, and Suzanne Kay Harvey and husband, Robert Harden, Buffalo, Okla.; brother, Renis Harvey, Colo.; sister, Ruth M. Peek, Liberal; grandchildren, Jade N. Harvey Brown, William M. Harden and Robert S. Harden; and one great-grandchild, Angel Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James R. Harvey, Richard “Dick” L. Harvey, Donald V. Harvey, Absolam “Abe” B. Harvey, Thomas “Tommy” R. Vivien Jr., George Harvey, Joseph L. Harvey and Eugene Harvey; and sisters, Mary “Mary” M. Dennis and Fannie “Francis” E. Rake.
o Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Arkalon Cemetry, Liberal, with the Rev. Rex Petty presiding.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Miller Mortuary.
